CLEO PAPANIKOLAS

Cleo Papanikolas is a painter, author, illustrator, and maker of Cleomade products. She has a BFA in printmaking from California College of Arts (and Crafts), and an MFA in painting from the University of California at Berkeley. She is the author and illustrator of Cook Until Desired Tenderness (North Atlantic Books). She illustrated The Comfort Queens Guide To Life (Random House) and a line of over 100 licensed products based on the book.

Cleo has been a professional painter in one form or another for over 20 years. From painting large commercial murals, to oil-on-canvas paintings for fine art galleries, to small pieces for print. Her work has appeared in Uppercase Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Bark Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, The San Francisco Examiner, ReadyMade Magazine, Edible San Francisco, UC Berkeley Press, Swallow Press, Dromedary Press, Design Mom blog, Mom Inc., and 510 families. Watch her in a series of crafting videos on the Castle In The Air YouTube channel. She has taught at The San Francisco Center for the Book, Castle in the Air, Copia, UC Berkeley, and Makeshift Society.
